Random update

We apologize for lack of recent updates! Here are some random pictures/videos we have taken over the past few weeks. We'll have much more to post when we are in Houston next week!!! Can't wait to see everyone. :)

Who is this little monster?

It's Aaron!

We have been trying to teach Aaron to use a spoon or spork to eat his food. There have been a handful of successful bites, although you'll just have to take our word for it because, unfortunately, we didn't capture those moments on video. :) Usually he tries, but then gives up and uses his hands!

"I don't need a fork, when I have perfectly good fingers to pick up my food!"

This morning, sneaky lil' Aaron was in his pack 'n' play and reached over to the kitchen table to grab Dad's wallet! But he wasn't sneaky enough, because we caught him in the act!

"Let's see what Dad's got in here..."

"Woohoo! I'm rich!"

Aaron has also started to "dance" when he hears music... either sitting down or standing up, whenever he hears a good beat, he starts moving! We also showed him this video after we shot it and he danced along with himself. :)

Don't get too excited... our little guy is far from taking his first steps! But he is starting to get closer with the aid of Isaac's walking toy, which Isaac was kind enough to let Aaron borrow. Aaron enjoys using it to "walk" around, playing with all the fun activities on it and putting his other toys into the basket. :)

Aaron - Birthday weekend!

Happy first birthday to our little guy!! Aaron had a fun-filled birthday weekend. Aunties Doreen and Candy came to visit and he had his first birthday party at home :) We all had a wonderful time! Thanks to everyone who came to make Aaron's first birthday so fun and memorable!

Happy First Birthday Aaron!!!

Can't believe it has already been a year since Aaron was born! Happy birthday, buddy!! We love you so much :)

Aaron (and daddy) went in for his one year doctor's appointment today. He got four shots and his blood drawn and was NOT happy about it. We also learned that he apparently has not grown much in the past 3 months. Aaron now measures 29.1 inches and weighs 20 lbs 13.5 oz... putting him in the 25% for both height and weight.

A visit from A-ma and A-gong!

A-ma and A-gong came to Chicago this weekend for a little pre-birthday celebration! We spent most of the time indoors playing (unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of that :( ... and Aaron had so much fun playing peek-a-boo, reading, waving to and sharing all of his toys with A-ma and A-gong!) On Sunday, we made our second trip to Brookfield Zoo. It was a gorgeous day and we even had a picnic outdoors! Then we went out to dinner and came home for a little cake. :) Thanks for a great weekend, A-ma and A-gong! See you over Christmas :)
