You may have heard on the news... but, it snowed a lot in Chicago. About 20 inches. This morning, we went out to survey the damage. Most of the cars on our street were buried in snow. There was about 5 feet of snow in our alley. Luckily, a nice guy clearing out a neighboring alley, took time to clear ours as well! So we now can, IF we wanted to, venture out of our house. Aaron LOVED it. He was very excited and curious to see everything covered in snow and couldn't wait to stomp on it outside. (Nope, still not walking on his own yet! Any day now!) Lucky for him, this snow is going to be around for a LONG time. Andrew spent a few hours clearing (with the aid of a recently acquired snowblower) the sidewalk along the side of our house. I shoveled for about 20 minutes. :P It's exhausting! Hope everyone is staying warm!!
"Sophie, look at all the snow...!"
"Did you see this, Mommy??"
Our alley! You can barely see the trash cans!
Snowblowing.
Almost clear!
"Stomp stomp stomp!"
"It's so cold... but I can't stop touching it!"
"Wonder if I could tunnel thru the wall...? I can't see the street!"
"And I'm spent!"
