California Trip Part 2 - Orange County 7/18-7/21

Sunday, we flew down to Orange County to spend more time with family and friends! It was so great to see everyone and the weather was perfect... we can't wait to make another trip out here. After a long nap for Mommy, our first stop was a nearby outdoor mall, where Aaron became fascinated by fountains and koi fish. :)

Saying "hi" to the fish!

The next morning, Daddy, Nana and Yeye took Aaron for a walk up the hill to enjoy the weather and views. Afterwards, Aaron played with Xiao Yigong for hours! Both appeared equally entertained. :)

On Monday, we spent the afternoon with Auntie Nancy, who Aaron was very excited to meet for the first time. :) Hope we get to see you again soon!!!

The remainder of the trip was spent with family and we had a wonderful time! On our last day in Orange County, we even made it to the beach. Aaron didn't seem to like it at first (the water was pretty cold) but seemed to have fun after a while. :)

Notice his raised legs :)

In this video, Andrew plays the carefree and fun dad, while I voice the overprotective
and crazy mom...! Aaron, naturally, is the adorable and confused baby, who does not appear
to be having fun. :)

Making a new friend... for some reason, older kids always want to touch
his feet! So cute...

One last goodbye to Yeye and Nana

It was a great first family trip. We had fun, relaxed and Aaron got to enjoy lots of new things. He was a champ on the planes as you can see from the photo above! He slept almost the whole way back to Chicago. Thanks everyone for fun times and memories. :) Please come visit us when you can!!

California Trip Part 1 - San Francisco 7/14-7/17

Here we go! Our first family trip together started in San Francisco. Aaron did very well on the plane, although he did get bored at times and there were many isolated outbursts :) He did sleep for over an hour at the beginning of the flight though. (whew!) Bear with us... we took a LOT of pictures to document our adventures!

Our first stop was in Milpitas to visit Jik-gong and his family! We had a great time (and a delicious dinner) with Jik-gong, Jim-bo and Raymond. Candace A-yi hardly got a chance to hold Aaron!

Next we spent time with friends in Almeda and Oakland. Thanks to Uncle John and Auntie Sheryle for being such great hosts! It was so great to see everyone... hopefully we can make it back for another trip soon. :)

During our stay, we also made it to Napa for some wine tasting and good food. Aaron was a champ and patiently hung out with us for hours before passing out in the car on the way home.

Aaron tries out Uncle Kryspin's motorcycle! (Mommy hopes this will be the only time he will
ever be on a motorcycle haha.)

Mommy carried Aaron up and down this hilly path (very cautiously).

On Saturday, we had dim sum with Candace A-yi, Gu-gong and family in Cupertino. The Aarons finally met! Afterwards we had bubble tea and smoothies. :) Thanks for the great pics Candace a-yi!!

Our last stop of the trip was at Celeste's wedding. We all had a great time and Aaron made some new friends at our table. After all the action during the day, Aaron fell asleep sitting up while Daddy was eating his salad... and didn't wake up for the rest of the night! We headed home early to catch our flight to LA the next morning!

Between the wedding and reception, we finally got a video of Aaron's super tired crazy laugh. :) Enjoy!

Thanks everyone for a wonderful time! We hope to see you all again soon...

To be continued....
